About the Author
The guidebook's author, Partha S Banerjee, is a journalist, travel writer and photographer for whom the Himalayas has been a lifelong passion. His walking guidebooks on the Everest and Langtang regions of Nepal and the Markha Valley and Zanskar in Ladakh are popular with trekkers. His handbook for Ladakh is the most definitive travellers' guide for the region. With a master's in physics from Delhi University, his interests include astronomy, history, international politics and cartography.
