About the Author

The guidebook's writer, Partha S Banerjee, is a journalist, travel writer and photographer for whom the Himalayas has been a lifelong passion. His walking guidebooks on the Everest, Annapurna and Langtang regions of Nepal and the Markha Valley and Zanskar in Ladakh are popular with trekkers. With a master's in physics from Delhi University, his interests include astronomy, history, international politics and cartography.
